What would be the best everyday conversation topics for students 10 to 20 years old?

May you provide me with a list of everyday questions that would be best topics for conversation? I talk to students everyday for 4 months now and, as of the moment, I seem to be lost with what we are going to talk about.

    Internet chat.

The good, the bad and the ugly of it! And how/what can be done to monitor it and keep them safe!

Well speaking as a 19-yr old, I can only speak for the older portion of the age range…teens tend to talk about whatever interests them which includes dating, sports, music (particularly popular styles of rock, rap, hiphop), politics (iraq war), celebrities, and movies.

well my brother is 10 and he likes to talk about computer games and video games more than anyone else wants to hear. he also likes to talk about himself and how good he is at things such as reading, every other subject in school, back to games….sports are also good. ask about their families or what they want to be when they grow up. people love talking about themselves.

as for me, im 16 and like talking about anything interesting really. i personally like talking about more controversial things kind of and peoples views on it. for example, i dont get why anyone would ever be against gay marriage, so i like to see why people are in hopes to get both sides (however i still am confused on that topic).

everyones different so i donno. younger kids usually can start talking about anything and as long as youre engaged it shouldnt be too hard. like i said, everyone likes to talk about themselves.

Since your range is so vast with this day and age of new info ..it’s like having three generations in your care ..
That being said ..I think ..it’d become a very interesting class if you announced an open-house one day and let the students enumerate what they want to talk about ..
You’d be surprised the range they’d come up with ..more over, it might give you a lot of insight into what all the students are capable of discussing ..
That ‘d also ensure that they get to talk about what THEY really wanna in contrast with what they’ve “been asked/assigned to do ”
    all the best ..
